Accelerated BS/MSAA program

The combined BS/MSAA program is intended for qualified students in the Winthrop undergraduate accounting program. It consists of 150 credit hours (120 undergraduate and 30 graduate) where the programs share six semester hours of 500-level courses (or students may take six credit hours from the MSAA curriculum while completing their undergraduate degree).

Undergraduate students pursuing this program must complete an Intent to Pursue Accelerated Program form and a Request to Take Courses for Graduate Credit form prior to registering for two 500-level courses from the MSAA curriculum, and no later than the first semester of their senior year. Students must have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA at the time these forms are completed. No petitions will be allowed for students to count courses after-the-fact if they fail to complete the Intent to Pursue and Request for Graduate Credit forms prior to taking the two 500-level courses. Students are required to consult with their undergraduate faculty advisor to determine which courses to take. Undergraduates who pursue this accelerated program will need to apply for admission to the MSAA program and meet the same admission criteria as other applicants. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
